
The Union of Moscow Architects and Nizhny Novgorod Department of the Union of Architects of Russia are hosting an open architectural and urban competition called: The Spit in Nizhny Novgorod. The Competition is organized in order to get in Nizhny Novgorod, on the territory limited by the Samarkandskaya and Betancourt Streets and the Volga and Oka rivers embankments, some conceptual town-planning proposals for creating a city recreation center with a developed recreational component and filled with social, cultural and sports functions by means of an equitable creative contest. The three (3) best designs will be awarded with monetary prizes in a total of 600,000 Rubles — of which 300,000 Rubles are reserved for the design awarded with the 1st Prize.
